Mute Swan

I thought it was finished back in "O6 but decided to rework it this summer. It was good to switch onto it while working on some smaller canvases.

Great Blue Herons

This is a transformation. It was originally spoonbills in this painting. I looked at it for a long time and decided I didn't like all the pink. It's a large painting, 44" x 50".

Gesso

These just stretched and gessoed canvases are drying outdoors because gesso smells. I start with a medium rough canvas then layer on gesso to make it smoother. The next step will be a thin coat of color. Pale yellow is always good.

Art by the Sea

This is an annual show held at the Vero Beach Museum sponsored by the art club. My painting sold and my husband, Gustaf Miller, won Best in Show for a large wood sculpture of a figure. It's a busy time of year.
