Great Blue Herons

This is a transformation. It was originally spoonbills in this painting. I looked at it for a long time and decided I didn't like all the pink. It's a large painting, 44" x 50".

--- just unloaded from the kiln this morning. I've thrown over 100 lbs of clay this month. Finally, some finished results.

porcelain clay

I've thrown 75lbs of porcelain clay this month. I'm setting-up to start glazing.

Gesso

These just stretched and gessoed canvases are drying outdoors because gesso smells. I start with a medium rough canvas then layer on gesso to make it smoother. The next step will be a thin coat of color. Pale yellow is always good.

Beach Talk

"I love Vero Beach" plein aire paint-out this week-end was a fundraiser for the Cultural Council. My small 11" x 11" acrylic sold.

Art by the Sea

This is an annual show held at the Vero Beach Museum sponsored by the art club. My painting sold and my husband, Gustaf Miller, won Best in Show for a large wood sculpture of a figure. It's a busy time of year.

Quail Valley Charity Art Show

Indian River Collects

Backus Gallery in Fort Pierce has a collectors' show. This painting of mine was loaned for the show by Mary Juckiewicz. It's titled "Garden Shed".
